There are points to consider before going further. God is action. And,
yet, we see Him doing nothing in the case of the Fall of Adam. God is
Prescience. And, accordingly we see Him in the Prophets depicting the Future.
These two points led Calvin to assume the defense of the Devil. Calvin’s
conclusion from these two facts was : God sees the Future, God is Omnipotent
and All-Powerful, and God did nothing to stop the Devil; ergo : God saw good the Fall.
You don’t have to be me to understand that Calvin and his Puritans,
whether Swiss, French, German, Dutch, Swedish or English, were wrong. The point
Calvin missed it is related to the Freedom of the Creation. The two points are
right the conclusion is wrong.
We see many times in the History of the Bible God moving His pawns in
the board of the kings and queens, as in the episode of Esther, David and so
forth. When God is on the move He promotes the men and women born to fight His
cause, as in the case of Judah the Maccabee, away from the eyes of History and
men.
It is easier, of course, to erase all what you don’t understand than recognizing
your own ignorance. Not in vain the Son of God said: “Bless be the poor of
spirits”, this is to say, the ones who recognize their ignorance. Acting
contrarily we see some of the Reformers erasing from the Book of God those
episodes they could not understand.
It is more than evident than God saw the coming of Antiochus the Fourth,
and to fight back the Hell coming down upon the Jews He forged, in the days
before the Hitlerian Final Solution of the Seleucid
Empire came on stage, the Hammer with whom to crush the threat.
Isreal was under the
control of the Seleucid Empire in the days of Antiochus the Great. All the
nations of the Empire had to put at the services of the King a battalion to
fight his wars. The Jews were not exempt from this imperial decree. On the other hand for many young people the
wars of the empire were a mean to discover the world. In the case of Antiochus
the Great his expedition for the recovery of the East attracted the sense of
adventure of many young people who preferred the life of a soldier to the
meaningless existence of a common peasant under the eye of the soldiers of the
emperor. These two strong motives acted in the young Judah the Maccabee, a
soldier in the armies of the King, at the service of whom Judas conquered his
fame of the warrior called the “Jewish Hammer”.
When, then, we find Judah back in his home town, in the day when his
father kills the men of the king, we can rightly conclude that Judah and his
men were back to their country as deserters of the army of the King. The Jewish
Battalion had deserted from the expedition of Antiochus the Fourth against the
Parthians in the knowledge of the Final Solution by the King decreed and to be
executed after his leaving Syria. It is this Final Solution, already in the air
after the sack of Jerusalem in the days before the Anti-Parthian Expedition
of Antiochus the Fourth, which
determined the Desertion of the Jewish Battalion.
The Hammer had been created, now it had to do its work. It is surrounded
by his son, Judah the Maccabee and his men, all of them men of war, that Mattathias gets the sword and kill the men of the king. How
could an old man have faced a bunch of soldiers otherwise? We can imagine the
scene. The soldiers of the king enter the house of a petty Jewish chief, and
finding him surrounding by men, supposedly his sons, all dressed at the style
of the commons, he order him to sacrifice to the gods of the Empire. The
captain of the king did not see any threat in those peasants, until they took off the mantles and showed them
their iron; they killed all the soldiers and left the captain to the old man.
In the future the Armies of the king would face a Jewish captain who knew the
enemy, its forces and its tactics as well as he knew his hands. He was the
Hammer of God to free the Nation of the Jews.
With this little dissertation my intention is to keep this vision of
God, moving His pawns in the board of His War against Death and Hell, in the
eye. Because though no one may see Him
He is at the making, getting ready the men who would fight His battle. The
coming of King Herod how would He not see it? The Day of the Messiah was
coming, how could He had no part whatsoever in the making?
Abihud, the Last of the Prophets, his son Zachariah, Simeon the Babylon,
his son Simeon the Younger, this last the same man we see in the Temple during
the Presentation of Jesus; Elizabeth, were the men and women at His service,
and He was moving them in the board of History His eyes set on the Birth of the
“son of David”. Because this History was sealed by the same God who caused
these men and women come to life, the time for God’s Silence Law gone, we are
here now opening the Chest which was
shut from the eyes of History.
In the past section we saw the succession from Judah the Maccabee to
king Herod from an eagle perspective. You can follow the events, from the point
of view of the official History in the TML’s Doors of Wisdom. The Maccabees
were succeeded by the Hasmonean Dynasty. Pompey gave
an end to it and profiting the Roman Civil Wars the son of Antipater won the
Kingdom of David. I let you to imagine the kind of frustration and despair fell upon the Jews of those days.
If by the usurpation of the throne of David by a Jew of pure blood the Jews got
mad, how could Herod impose his crown on
the Jews but under a continual massacre of them? While Herod was entertained in
perfecting his policy of terror, under the cover of the fear in which everybody
lived, Zachariah and Simeon the Younger kept their Search for the Heir of
Solomon hidden from the eyes of all men, whether Jew or Arab.
It came to happen, then, that Zachariah and Simeon the Younger found
themselves in the blue. After years moving inside out the Archives of the
Temple they met the bitter end : where was the True Heir of King David they had
no clue.
Once their marriages settled and their home affairs on the run, they
went back to work. To remove upside down the Archives of the Temple it was not
the point. They had to ask for help. What they were looking for anyway? They
were looking for the son of Zerubbabel, right? And Zerubbabel came from
Babylon, right? Babylon existed no more, true; but the Synagogue of Babylon,
the Synagogue of the Magi still existed. The Archives of the Synagogue founded
by Daniel the Prophet were moved to the Synagogue of Seleucia on the Tigris. Whas not from Seleucia on the Tigris that Old Good Simeon
came to fight back the Hasmonean Demon Alexander
Jannaeus? Simeon the Younger had relatives there from whom he could ask to take
a look in the Archives without jeopardizing their Search. Did he? “There is a
better way” Zachariah said.
When Queen Alexandra died her son Hyrcanus got
the power. But it was a matter of time that his younger brother Aristobulus find out the plan for the passing of the crown
from the Hasmonean to the Davidic House his elder
brother had conceived. Civil war broke out. Profiting of this division in the
heart of the Hasmonean Crown the father of Herod
moved his forces to gain the post of Generalissimo of Judah, post confirmed by
Julius Caesar in reward for his wonderful help in the Alexandria episode. Aristobulus got the upper hand and punished his brother Hyrcanus at the fashion of the eastern monarchs, cutting
his nose and ears. Hyrcanus was sent in exile to
Seleucia on the Tigris, where, as the right High Priest of Jerusalem, he had
free access to the Archives of the Synagogue of the Magi. He was their man; his
removing the Archives of the Synagogue of the Magi searching for the name of
the sons of Zerubbabel who came with him from Babylon, would rise no threat to
their Search. And so the messenger was sent to Seleucia on the Tigris.
We may imagine the expectation both men of God lived during the days
before the messenger came back from Seleucia on the Tigris. What a surprise
they had when the answer they were waiting for came in the hand of a messenger Hyrcanus himself sent them. The messenger, a young scholar raised
according to the Wisdom by Daniel the Prophet instituted, was called Hillel.
The top axiom of Daniel’s Wisdom was this : “Do no let your right hand know
what your left hand is doing”. Hillel, who came to Jerusalem to stay and open
his own school, brought to Zachariah, from the part of Hyrcanus,
the High Priest, son of Queen Alexandra, the following message:
“To were the sons who followed Zerubbabel from Babylon to Jerusalem. The
genealogical three of Zerubbabel was kept in Babylon’s Synagogue in obedience
to the Instructions of the prophet Daniel. Zerubbabel genealogical tree had two
branches. Both branches had the same trunk, king David. The sons of the King, Solomon and Nathan, one
a king and the other a prophet, were separated to live their own lives and form
their own genealogical tree. In the days
of Daniel the Prophet those two Davidic Branches were met in the land of the
Exile, they were gathered into one and brought to the world Zerubbabel, the
right Heir of King David.
When Cyrus the Persian came to the Empire Zerubbabel took with him the
two scrolls of his family, leaving in the Synagogue the respective copies.
Zerubbabel gave these two scroll to the two sons whom he took with him, Abihud
and Rhesa, and following the Instructions of his
Master, the Prophet Daniel, Zerubbabel separate his sons before his death.
It was told by Daniel the Prophet that the day those two branches shall
gather into one, the son shall be the Messiah. In obedience of the Prophecy of
Daniel the Chief of the Synagogue of the Magi had been the Protectors of this
treasure : the true copies of Two Genealogical Scrolls of Zerubbabel”.
Him, Hillel, had been given a true copy of the true copies of the
genealogical trees of both Zerubbabelian branches,
and kept saying:
“Whoever claims to be a right descendant from Zerubbabel he had to show
one scroll of the other, and the lines from David to Rhesa and Abihud got to be the same as in the copy I had brought with me. Still more,
said Hillel, the rights heirs of Rhesa and Abihud got
to be in possession of the original Scrolls by Zerubbabel brought with him and
gave to his sons”.
When Hillel ended his speech both Zachariah and Simeon stared at his
other in confusion. They were looking for one family and now they got to look
for two. At the same time they felt the Spirit of God around them. He would
lead them to both families.
Hillel remained in Jerusalem and became a great Doctor, his son Gamaliel becoming in time a teacher for the future Saint
Paul. Herod kept killing every single man daring to make a move against his
crown; the record of his crimes are written. Not all, some of them. With the
History of Herod happens the same that in the dealing with Henry VIII’s crimes,
we know his crimes against the most principal men of the English People, but
the thousands killed in obedience of his Antichristians-Laws,
being the victims the common people, the English Historians, always devoted to
the case of the King of the Antichrist, they pass over; after all was the House
of Lords who made the Empire, isn’t?
Anyway, getting back to our History, and excuse me if from time to time
I punch the official historians by the King and Queens paid to erase their
crimes and turn into good action the genocides and crimes for the sake of the
commonwealth committed; the first emotion they, Zachariah and Simeon, lived
after the revelation to them of the Doctrine of the Alfa and Omega by King
David put in motion and by the Prophet
Daniel rescue from oblivion, the real truth is that they did not advance very
much in their Search. In fact it came a moment when they found themselves stuck
in the blue. Until it came to happen…
One of those days Simeon went to Bethlehem for a question of business.
His father, Simeon the Babylonian played the role of a Banker of the Crown, a paerfect cover up to his real mission : the demolition of
the Hasmonean Dynasty. Of course, in dealing with the
common, disciple as he became of Abijah, the last of
the prophets the Land of Judah saw alive, his way of dealing with the common
was another story. The enormous influence we see exerting him on Herod during
the day of his final attack on Jerusalem, was due to the immense love he had
conquered by his way of lending to the common. His son Simeon kept his father’s
policy, with one hand he was the banker of the rich, and with another he was
the banker of the poor. While he was respected buy the rich he was loved by the
poor. And so we see him in his last years becoming a holy figure in the Temple.
But as this is to come, let’s get to his journey to Jerusalem that day for the
Eternity to tell.
Simeon the Younger was in close business relation with the carpenter
clan of Bethlehem. Of course everybody knew that the clan of the carpenters of
Bethlehem boasted of Davidic stock. Who did not in those days? You are from Bethlehem,
of course you got to be a Davidic kind of descendant, or whatever.
It was the case that Heli, the son of Matthat, was getting married. Simeon congratulate the father, the actual Chief of
the clan of the Carpenters of Bethlehem. And talking talking they touched the question of their boasting in Davidic Blood. You may
understand that a man of a wisdom and so sweet spirit as Simeon’s would not
touch so a delicate subject in a rude manner. I would. But anyway, who am I?
And even so, Matthat felt very much offended by the
doubt about his Blood, the more the offense the greater the honesty and prudence
of the son of the Great Simeon, a man with whom he, Matthat,
had made a lot of business and, most important, had friendship. It was for the love
to such a man, who never touched this delicate question, and if, he would have
never put at the test his Blood, that Matthat got
angry with his son. Matthat took by the hand the son
of his friend, the Great Simeon, and led him to the inner rooms of his house. Because
he would not accept even the shadow of the doubt upon the Blood of his son Heli, Matthat opened an old home ark,
and from its entrails he got out one scroll. In the moment he began to
unrolled, the Spirit of God rose in Simeon an electrical current waking up his
entire brain. He knew the seal. It was the seal of the Synagogue of the Magi.
It was the seal he, the son of a Babylonian Magi, had in his own scroll.
-You know how to read, young man – said Heli’s father in the pick of the moment.
Simeon knew how to read? Oh yes, he could read in many tongues. Lot of
people knew how to read. But few men in the world knew how to read the Tongue
of the Prophets.
Simeon read :
-Heli, son of Matthat, son of Levi, son of Melki,
son of Jannai, son of Joseph, son of Mattathias, son of Amos, son of Nahum, son of Esli, son of Naggai, son of Maath, son of Mattathias,
son of Semein, son of Josek,
son of Joda, the son of Joanan …
I here his soul got electrified:
..son of Rhesa, son of Zerubabbel.
Simeon rose his
eyes and read the mind of the old man. He didn’t know the real value of his property.
Impossible to
quit his eyes from the Scroll, Simeon read one by one the name of the List of
the Copy of Rhesa’s Genealogical Three brought to
Jerusalem from Seleucia on the Tigris by Hillel.
“the son of Rhesa, the son of Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, the son of Neri, the
son of Melki, the son of Addi,
the son of Cosam, the son of Elmadam, the son of Er, the son
of Joshua, the son of Eliezer, the son of Jorim, the son of Matthat, the
son of Levi, the son of Simeon, the son of Judah, the son of Joseph,
the son of Jonam, the son of Eliakim, the son of Melea, the
son of Menna, the son of Mattatha,
the son of Nathan, the son of David…”
Here Simeon rose
again his eyes and staring at the old man’s eyes, said he : “He would be my
pleasure to come and rejoice in the day of the wedding of a son of king David”.
As a matter of
fact Simeon could not wait, he got to get out of the house of Matthat and free the explosion of joy his soul was under.
He felt singing psalms of wonder and glory to the Omniscience of the God of
Abraham and David and Daniel. They were already moaning and weeping, the
victory they had been looking for was nearly at the edge, the simple touch of a
fool’s finger would be enough to push it in the abyss of failure. What then?
How wonderful is
the Prescience and Omniscience of the God of Abraham, David and Daniel. He lets
you doing till your forces touches the limits of their strength, suddenly He
moves a finger and that is. “Boys, you were going on the wrong direction”.
God, Simeon could
not wait to meet Zachariah. He would lead the conversation to the edge.
-Yeah, old
friend, this quest is taking us nowhere. Have we considered that this may be not
the time for the Messiah’s coming? We should. I don’t know. What do you think?
Simeon could not
stop laughing with his heart as he imagined the scene. He could read the Zachariah’s
answer in the air: “Simeon, it may be that we are looking in the wrong
direction. It got to be. Are you thinking in giving up?”
We men we are
such a curious creatures. We play in our minds the scene to take place later
on, and enjoy in the solitude of our souls the parts we will not on the stage
of life. It is in the heat of the moment where the secret of life evolves and
involves and develop the entire action. You dream with the glory and enjoy in
the heat of the moment a glory so far away with a passion so great that when
the pain comes there is no place for giving up.
However, Simeon
went straight to the house of Zachariah. Elizabeth, who knew Simeon’s soul as
well as her own, as she saw him coming in she knew something was going on, and
by the bright of his eyes, though he tried to conceal it from her, the light of
the spirit, she knew he was bringing with him a wonderful news. Simeon saw the
look in her eyes and he knew that the sooner he met Zachariah the better,
otherwise she would get from him the nature of his joy; he had never secrets with
Elizabeth. No that he could not because the influence of her beauty; it was
much more that that, they were twin souls since they were kids. In those days
the social castes were very rigid; the high caste did not had any intercourse
with the lower apart from those dictated by State and Religion. The son of a
Pharisee, Simeon the Great to the poor, and the Babylonian Banker to the rich,
the amazing friendship between the son of a Pharisee and the daughter of a
Sadducee gave much to talk as he became a young man as rich as she became beautiful.
No wonder that the Sadducee father of Elizabeth dreamt with her daughter conquering
the heart of the son of Simeon the Pharisee. As it turned out that these twins
souls fooled the power of fatherhood in the name of love, the tie between
Simeon and Elizabeth became stronger. She was the female touch in their Search;
when the hour of despair came around, Elizabeth was there to raise their hearts
with the power of a faith beyond doubt and confusion, the sweetest of powers.
She would hear not a word about failure. They were the men of God, this was the
time and all they have to do was keep keeping on. “You men are like children”,
she used to say in those moments of hysteria, “Wisdom runs faster than you and
as she is a female you feel outraged and fall in confusion. Don’t you know you
are her darlings and she would never ever turn her back on you? Cheer up,
Wisdom loves you as much as I do”.
Elizabeth did not
ask Simeon where came from that joy shooting his rays out of his eyes. She
understood that Zachariah was his target. Zachariah heard the story of his
friend.
“Matthat of Bethlehem, the head of the clan of the
Carpenters of the sons of David from Bethlehem, had the honor to invite them to
the wedding of his heir, Heli, son of Rhesa, son of Zerubbabel”. Here Simeon stopped with the attitude
of one giving no importance to his words. But the light shining in his eyes was
so intense as the fires of a sun in its days of youth. The entire face of
Zachariah was illuminated by his friend’s “no important news”.
Zachariah said
nothing. Simeon kept saying : “…the son of Rhesa, the
son of Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, the son of Neri, the son of Melki, the
son of Addi, the son of Cosam,
the son of Elmadam, the son of Er, the son of Joshua, the son of Eliezer,
the son of Jorim, the son of Matthat,
the son of Levi, the son of Simeon, the son of Judah, the son
of Joseph, the son of Jonam, the son of Eliakim, the son of Melea, the
son of Menna, the son of Mattatha,
the son of Nathan, the son of David…”
And so, the
wedding took place. Both men kept the secret of the value of Matthat’ Scrolls hidden from his new owner. A year later of
so, a baby by was born to Heli, son of Matthat. He gave the baby boy the name of Joseph, “the son
of Heli, the son of Matthat,
the son of Levi, the son of Melki, the son of Jannai, the son of Joseph, the son of Mattathias,
the son of Amos, the son of Nahum, the son of Esli,
the son of Naggai, the son of Maath,
the son of Mattathias, the son of Semein,
the son of Josek, the son of Joda, the son of Joanan, the son
of Rhesa, the son of Zerubbabel, the son
of Shealtiel, the son of Neri,
the son of Melki, the son of Addi, the son of Cosam, the son
of Elmadam, the son of Er, the
son of Joshua, the son of Eliezer, the son of Jorim, the son of Matthat, the
son of Levi, the son of Simeon, the son of Judah, the son of
Joseph, the son of Jonam, the son of Eliakim, the son of Melea, the
son of Menna, the son of Mattatha,
the son of Nathan, the son of David, the son of Jesse, the son of Obed, the son of Boaz, the son of Salmon, the son of Nahshon, the son of Amminadab,
the son of Ram, the son of Hezron, the son of
Perez, the son of Judah, the son of Jacob, the son of Isaac, the son of
Abraham, the son of Terah, the son of Nahor, the son of Serug, the son
of Reu, the son of Peleg,
the son of Eber, the son of Shelah,
the son of Cainan, the son of Arphaxad,
the son of Shem, the son of Noah, the son of Lamech,
the son of Methuselah, the son of Enoch, the son of Jared, the son of Mahalalel, the son of Kenan, the
son of Enosh, the son of Seth, the
son of Adam, the son of God”.
